Project Overview x
HDL Engineering worked with ANTHC and the Koyukuk Tribal Council to provide onsite well and septic systems for unserved homes in the community. HDL began working in the community on Phase II of the Koyukuk septic project after a previous contractor had completed designs for Phase I, ultimately performing inspections of 47 homes. After home inspections, it was determined that only 20 were eligible for service due to funding requirements.
Phase II of the project included the design of water and sewer systems at nine homes in the community, four of which required Septic Tank Effluent Systems (STEP) with an elevated mound drain field, and five with conventional septic systems. This project is currently under construction and is slated for completion in the summer of 2022.
In 2021, HDL worked with ANTHC on Phase III of the Koyukuk Wells, Plumbing, and Septic Project. The project included the design of water and sewer systems at eleven homes in the community, nine of which required a STEP system with an elevated mound drain field, and two with a conventional septic system. This project is currently under construction and is slated for completion in the summer of 2022.
